HOPE not hate – “Stoking the Flames” Report

Founder’s first published data report with HOPE not hate, London. it broke new ground in exposing the links between tabloid press narratives, government rhetoric in the uk. My analysis helped reveal how inflammatory media coverage was shaping public sentiment and driving online engagement. The report made national impact — it was featured in The Guardian and even cited in the UK Parliament as evidence in debates on immigration policy.

HOPE not hate – “Making space for hate” Report

For this report, our founder at True Stats collaborated up with one of the most experienced data scientists in the field and a senior researcher at HOPE not hate to carry out advanced network analysis. Together, we mapped online extremist ecosystems to reveal how hate communities organise and spread their influence. The analysis uncovered the key “chat dominators” driving conversations and the individuals with the most connected networks — those amplifying and reinforcing extremist narratives. This work provided a deeper understanding of how influence and mobilisation actually happen beneath the surface.

HOPE not hate – “FROM THEORY TO ACTION” Report”

Founder led this project independently, designing and implementing the full analytical framework for HOPE not hate’s landmark study on conspiracy theories in the UK. Unlike previous approaches that relied heavily on biased keyword techniques, I developed machine learning and deep learning classifiers to capture patterns of discourse more accurately and objectively.

This breakthrough allowed us to measure statistics and dynamics of conspiracy communities that had rarely been studied at this scale before. The analysis mapped the fastest-growing narratives and identified the key influencers amplifying them across platforms, revealing how fringe ideas gain mainstream traction. The findings have informed HOPE not hate’s counter-extremism strategy, shaped policy discussions, and contributed to the wider understanding of how conspiracy theories spread in the UK.
